Officers are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Stevenage.
It was reported that between 5.15pm and 6.30pm on Saturday 16 November in Hill Crest, a house was broken into.
The victim, who returned home shortly after, discovered that the front door had been damaged and that a Louis Vuitton handbag and a quantity of cash had been taken. The contents of the freezer had also been emptied onto the floor.
Detective Constable Laura Lea from the Stevenage Local Crime Unit said: “I am appealing to anyone who might have seen suspicious activity in the area at the time, to contact me.
“In addition, anyone who lives in the road who has CCTV, please can I ask you to check if it has captured any footage which may help our investigation. If you were driving in the area at the time and had a dash cam in operation, we would also be interested in hearing from you.
“A potential suspect was also seen in The Dells, so we are also keen to see CCTV or dash cam footage from anyone who lives or was driving in this road and around this time.”
You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/97216/24.
