Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery in St Albans.
The incident occurred shortly before 7pm on Tuesday (10 December), when an 18-year-old male was walking down Milford Close.
He was approached by another male, hit with a metal pole and had his bag stolen.
The victim was chased on to Sandringham Crescent where he was treated by an off-duty paramedic having suffered serious facial injuries and a suspected broken arm.
It is believed those involved know each other.
Detective Sergeant Paul Wadsworth, from the St Albans Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am urging anyone with information to please come forward.
“Did you see what happened, or have any further information? Please email me with any information, no matter how small or insignificant you think the details you have may be.”
You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 565 of 10 December, 2024.
