The Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have hosted their first library beat surgery of the year.
Beat surgeries are an opportunity for residents to meet with their local police face-to-face, discuss any concerns and pick up useful information and advice.
At the beginning of 2023, the Welwyn Hatfield NPT joined together with the library, based in White Lion Square, to host a series of surgeries.
The series was a success and they became a regular event taking place every other month.
On Friday (9 February), PC Joanna Witkiewicz and PCSO Shannon Payne welcomed residents to the first surgery of the year.
PCSO Shannon Payne said: “I would like to thank everybody who came along to see us.
“We spoke to residents about local matters affecting them and listened to their views. Meeting residents face to face is always really helpful as it allows us to understand more about what the public would like to see from their local police.
“As well giving out tips to protect residents from crime, we also had materials for residents to take away including purse bells and leaflets with handy advice.
“Once again I would like to say a big thank you to the staff at Hatfield Library for allowing us to use their premises. We hope to see even more residents next time!”
The next dates for the surgeries are:
