Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an 89 year old man was injured by a dog on Royston High Street.
At around 11.25am last Saturday (3 February), the victim bent down to stroke a dog when it then jumped up and bit his ear.
The owner of the dog immediately assisted by taking the victim to a pharmacy where an ambulance was called but left the scene without giving any details before police arrived.
PC Callum Grindley, who is investigating, said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who has information about it to please get in touch. Please contact me with details by email (opens in a new window)”
