Police appeal for information following double road traffic collision in Bushey

Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit are appealing for information after a pedestrian was involved in two collisions with vehicles in The Avenue, Bushey.
The collisions occurred between 3:30am and 4.30am yesterday (Wednesday 17 January). One incident involved the pedestrian being struck by a grey Volkswagen T-Roc, and the other incident involved the same pedestrian being struck by a red HGV.
The pedestrian, a 25-year-old man from Watford, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Volkswagen T-Roc, a 41-year-old woman from Watford, left the scene and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and causing serious injury by driving without due care. The woman has been released on bail while enquiries continue. The driver of the red HGV remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their investigation.
Sergeant Tim Davies from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit is investigating. He said: “I am appealing for information and dash cam footage from anyone who may have been in The Avenue area of Bushey between the hours of 3:30am and 4.30am on Wednesday (17 January).
