We’re recruiting police officers, plus all kinds of staff roles and volunteers including Police Community Support Officers (PCSO), emergency call handlers and volunteer police officers (Specials).

I’ve worked on Intervention where we respond to emergency calls, then in the Safer Neighbourhood Team where we help tackle crime and forge strong relationships with the local community and latterly in the Armed Policing Unit where I specialised in multiple roles. The great thing about working for the police, is that you don’t have to stay in one department or area – there are lots of opportunities internally which you can explore. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the police to anyone looking for a new and exciting challenge.
