As we enter 2024, your New Year’s resolution might be to see what job opportunities are out there and look for a new career.
Join us on Saturday 20 January, from 1pm to 5pm, for a Herts police recruitment event at Gosling Sports Centre in Welwyn Garden City.
We’re recruiting police officers, plus all kinds of staff roles and volunteers including Police Community Support Officers (PCSO), emergency call handlers and volunteer police officers (Specials).
Did you know police officer apprenticeships pay £31,551 while you train and get a degree on the job? And the best bit? It’s debt-free!
Sergeant Dan Phillips from the Recruitment Team said: “I’ve been with the constabulary for 30 years now and have had such a varied and rewarding career. I’ve worked on Intervention where we respond to emergency calls, then in the Safer Neighbourhood Team where we help tackle crime and forge strong relationships with the local community and latterly in the Armed Policing Unit where I specialised in multiple roles. The great thing about working for the police, is that you don’t have to stay in one department or area – there are lots of opportunities internally which you can explore. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the police to anyone looking for a new and exciting challenge.
“On the day, there will be opportunities to speak to police officers from various teams and our recruitment department will be available to advise you on the joining process, which teams might be suitable to your interests and the next steps should you wish to apply.
“Come along and see what we have to offer!”
