Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after officers entered an address in Watford this morning (Friday 19 January).
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team entered a property in Albanwood before seizing several wraps of class A and class B drugs (cocaine and amphetamine).
A 38 year old woman from Watford and an 18 year old man from the Islington area of London were both arrested on suspicion of possession of class A and class B drugs, as well as breaching the terms of their Community Protection Notices (CPNs). They both remain in police custody.
Inspector Dan Jones, who leads the Watford Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We are working in close partnership with the housing provider to improve the quality of life for neighbours, who have been severely impacted by ongoing issues at this property.
“Everyone has the right to feel safe in their home and as a Safer Neighbourhood Team it’s our job to work with the community and partners to address and resolve issues which negatively affect our residents.
“If you suspect drug-related crime in your local area, please report it online at herts.police.uk/report, via online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or by calling the non-emergency number 101.”
