Officers are appealing for information and witnesses following an attempted burglary in Welwyn Garden City.
It happened shortly after 10pm on Saturday 22 June. Four teenagers entered the front garden of a property in Little Ganett before the victim chased them off.
Three of the suspects were described as white and the other mixed race.
The first suspect was wearing a grey tracksuit top and bottoms with black trainers and a black ‘manbag’. He appeared to have dark brown curly hair.
The second suspect was wearing a black t shirt with black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
The third suspect was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, a black tracksuit and white trainers. He also had a dark coloured rucksack on and was possibly wearing a mask.
The fourth suspect was wearing a dark coloured long sleeve top, a black tracksuit and black trainers.
PC Philip Jowett, from the Welwyn Hatfield Local Crime Unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. The suspects are believed to have been loitering in the area, trying garage doors and peering into houses.
“Did you see suspicious activity in the area? If you can help, please get in touch.
“I would also like to remind residents to take a look at the crime prevention advice on our website. There is lots of information about how to keep your property safe.”
