A 33 year old man from Stevenage has been charged in connection with an incident near to the underpass by Asda, which happened on Sunday evening (28 July) and in which a 69 year old man was attacked.
Lewis Kendrick of Cuttys Lane has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article in a public place and breaching a restraining order.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Hatfield Remand Court this morning (Tuesday 20 July).
The victim continues to recover in hospital and is being treated for knife inflicted wounds.
