A man has been arrested in connection with drug related offences in Watford today (Tuesday 4 June).
Operation Scorpion officers, supported by local Watford neighbourhood officers, were conducting proactive patrols in West Watford this morning, responding to concerns raised by residents around drug dealing.
Officers stopped a 37-year-old man in Durban Road, who was searched and found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected Class A drugs and a knife.
He was arrested and is in police custody at this time.
Inspector Dan Jones, from the Watford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Thank you to the residents who raised their concerns with us. I hope this arrest provides some reassurance that we take your reports seriously and will act upon them swiftly.
“If anyone has any concerns, or issues they’d like to raise, please don’t hesitate to contact us.”
