A man is to appear at court having been charged with being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury following an incident in Waltham Cross.
A cyclist reported being bitten on the legs by a dog off the lead while on the High Street on Thursday 25 April.
Joshua Ellison, aged 33, of High Street, Waltham Cross, was arrested on the day and is to appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Monday 24 June.
PC Edward-John Folan, of the Broxbourne Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), said: “I’m pleased we have been able to secure a charge for the victim.
“The Broxbourne NPT, with support from the BCH Dog Unit, have worked hard to ensure this outcome so far. We know the public concern around dog related offending and this demonstrates that we will respond and provide victims support following such incidents.”
