Detectives in Borehamwood are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault which took place this morning (Thursday 6 June).
Police were called around 8.43am today (Thursday 6 June) to report of an incident in Keystone Passage, near to Shenley Road, where it is believed that a man in his 20s has sustained minor injuries from an assault involving a knife.
A quick police response to the scene saw officers completing thorough searches of the area and swiftly recovered a weapon which is believed to have been used. Local detectives are continuing to work hard to establish the circumstances.
Detective Sergeant Yaser Khan of the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit said: “We are appealing to anyone who might have seen this incident take place and equally anyone who saw anything suspicious in the time leading up to, or after, the attack.
“If you were in the area at the time and potentially have dash cam footage or have doorbell cameras or CCTV at home the police would welcome the opportunity to have access to the footage.
“I would like to thank everyone who has assisted police so far with this enquiry and would like to reassure communities that detectives and Neighbourhood Officers are working around the clock to provide reassurance and to piece together information being passed to us, but we would encourage anyone with further information to report this, as it may be vital to our investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to email the investigating officer Detective Constable Lewis Stanley.”
