Appeal following fatal collision in WGC

Officers are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage after a man sadly died after coming off his motorcycle on Ley Walk in Welwyn Garden City on Wednesday 27 March.

Police were called at 10.10pm to reports of a motorcycle leaving the carriageway and its rider, a man in his 20s, very seriously injured. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Sgt Tim Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “My thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this time.

“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. Did you see what happened? Or did you see a blue Yamaha motorcycle or any other vehicles in or around Ley Walk at this time? Please get in touch if you can help by emailing me (opens in a new window)
