A man has been charged in connection with a burglary which occurred on Wednesday 1 May in Watford.
Officers were called to Sainsbury’s in Albert Road South just before 9.20pm, reporting that a man had broken into the store and was acting aggressively towards members of staff.
James Anderson, aged 37, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene and later charged with burglary, failure to comply with a Community Protection Notice and using threatening behaviour.
He was remanded into custody and appeared before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Friday 3 May where he was ordered to pay a total of £271.75 in fines and compensation.
Inspector Dan Jones from the Watford Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated in Watford. I hope this quick arrest and charge shows that we take these kinds of reports seriously and will act quickly upon them.”
