The Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team hosted a successful event for the Panshanger community on Sunday (5 May).
Officers hosted a stall in Moors Walk, Welwyn Garden City, where residents could come along for advice and to share their thoughts on local policing.
They could also get their bicycles security marked for free.
Inspector Amy Sheldon, who leads the Welwyn Hatfield NPT, said: “Events like these are really important for helping us to understand the issues affecting you most. A large number of Panshanger locals came along to see us though of course our events are always open to all Welwyn Hatfield residents. Our officers particularly enjoyed meeting Bruno the Labrador – he was very friendly and seemed to be enjoying himself!
“Lots of people brought along their bikes and we were pleased to security mark them. We recommend bike marking as it is a useful deterrent against thieves. If a thief is found with a registered bike, they will be arrested and we’ll be able to trace the rightful owner.
“I’d like to thank everybody for coming along and please keep an eye out for more events that we have planned.”
