The Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team joined together with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to host a community event on Wednesday (15 May).
Officers and representatives from the council set ups stalls in Harwood Hill, Welwyn Garden City, and spoke to local residents.
It gave the community a chance to get crime prevention advice from police, book a fire safety check for their home and discuss any local issues worrying them.
Morgan Sindall Property Services were also on hand to dispose of bulky waste, provide energy-saving information and carry out minor repairs.
Residents could pick up useful leaflets, security devices and some freebies too.
PC Anne Lopez, from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We work very closely with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council on local issues and we wanted to give residents the chance to speak to both of us at the same time. It meant they could get an abundance of advice on a wide range of matters and there was plenty of helpful material to take home and read too.
“This was a really well-attended event and we were pleased to be able to help so many residents.
