Officers are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following an incident in Bushey.
It is reported that around 11.10am on Tuesday 2 April, a black BMW 840Ci was seen driving erratically.
The car had been driven on to the grass at the King George Recreational Ground, before the driver exited the vehicle. Extensive damage to the grassland was caused as a result.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
PC Natan Segal, who is investigating, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the BMW driving in the recreational ground or the surrounding areas. If you have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to assist our investigation.
“Please email me (opens in a new window) with any information. Thank you.”
