Officers are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following a collision in Buntingford yesterday (Thursday 14 November).
The incident happened in Ermine Street, close to the junction with the A10, at around 5.30pm and involved a red Porsche Cayman and a motorbike.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Porsche, a woman aged in her 50s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving.
Sergeant Tim Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to get in touch.
“Were you in the area? Did you see the vehicles involved or the events leading up to the collision?
“Any information you have, no matter how small, could be vital to our investigation.
“Please get in touch by emailing me, quoting ISR 536 of 14 November.”
You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
If you have dash cam footage in relation to the collision, please upload this via DAMS.
