Four people have been arrested in connection with a street robbery in Watford.
The incident occurred at around 5.30pm yesterday (Monday 11 November).
A teenage boy was walking towards an underpass at the junction with Peace Drive and Cassiobury Drive when he was approached by a group of males who were wearing balaclavas. They allegedly threatened him and took his headphones and Oyster card.
The victim then fled the scene and contacted police.
Following the report, officers worked closely with CCTV operators and located four males who were subsequently arrested on suspicion of robbery at the train station in Lower High Street.
Two 17 and two 18-year-old males are currently in police custody at this time.
Watford Neighbourhood Inspector Dan Jones said: “This was understandably a frightening incident for the victim and we will continue to support him.
“I appreciate the nature of this incident is concerning and we will be increasing our patrols in the area. If anyone has any information that could help progress our enquiries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
