The Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Team have hosted the first in a new series of Hatfield beat surgeries.
Beat surgeries provide an opportunity for residents to meet their local officers in a relaxed and informal setting.
PCSOs Mark Randall and Shannon Payne will be hosting surgeries at St John’s Church community café between 11am and 1pm on the following dates:
On Wednesday 6 November, the pair hosted the first surgery of the series and spoke to residents about matters concerning them. They also issued helpful crime prevention advice.
The surgeries follow the success of similar initiatives at Hatfield Library and Birchwood Leisure Centre.
PCSO Mark Randall said: “We’ve built a good partnership with St John’s and we are delighted that they’ve given us the opportunity to host beat surgeries for the community.
“Their community café runs every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm and gives locals somewhere nice and warm to hang out, have a coffee and meet others.
“Our first surgery went really well and we are looking forward to meeting with more residents over the coming months. Please do come along and meet us. We are here to help you.”
