A Watford man has been issued with a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
Darren Lane, aged 50, was previously arrested on 31 January 2024 following a report of an assault in Monica Close. It is reported Lane hit the victim, a man aged in his 50s, and was also in possession of an axe. He was subsequently charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
Lane appeared at St Albans Crown Court on 15 November where he was issued with a CBO and must comply with the following conditions for the next three years:
Watford Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Dan Jones said: “The type of behaviour displayed by Lane will not be tolerated in Watford. The CBO sets out strict conditions which he must abide by for the next three years. It is a criminal offence to breach any of these conditions.
“It is our duty to ensure that we keep the residents of Watford safe. If anyone witnesses Lane breaching any of his conditions or is seen in the prohibited areas on the map, please contact police immediately.”
