Police are aware of reports circulating on social media regarding an indecent exposure in Bishop’s Stortford yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 15 October).
The incident is reported to have occurred in Bat Willow Hurst Country Park, at around 2pm.
Neighbourhood Inspector Mark Collins said: “At this time, we have received third party reports and have not yet been contacted by the victim or any other direct witnesses. If you did see what happened, please make contact with us as soon as possible, to help us progress our enquiries.
“Incidents such as this understandably cause a lot of concern among the local community, and we want to make sure we have as much information as possible in order to investigate and ensure we’re keeping people safe.
“While these enquiries are being carried out, we’d urge people to please exercise caution, as sharing of speculative and inaccurate information could affect any proceedings moving forward. Thank you.”
