Officers hosted a free bike-marking event in Cuffley last weekend.
On Saturday 31 August, PCSOs Joanne Woods and Carl Donovan were in Maynard Place along with PC Peter Hulley.
The team of officers spoke to residents and offered to security mark their bikes for free.
PCSO Carl Donovan said: “We recommend bike-marking for two reasons. First of all, it acts as a visible deterrent that will put off most thieves. Secondly, if the bike does get stolen we will have a better chance of returning it to its rightful owner when it is found.
“In addition to offering bike-marking, we used the event as a chance to speak to residents passing by. We talked to them about their thoughts on local policing and shared useful crime prevention advice. I would like to thank everyone who stopped by. It was great meeting you and we hope you found the event useful.”
