Rain didn’t dampen spirits at the weekend as families flocked to the annual Ware police fun day.
Organised by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, the event was held at The Priory yesterday (Sunday 8 September) and offered a host of stalls, games, fairground rides, demonstrations, refreshments and fun police-themed activities.
Officers were also on hand to discuss any issues, give out a range of crime prevention advice and security mark bicycles.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Luke Collyer said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended. It was a wet start to the day but thankfully the weather picked up and we had lots of people come to see us.
“The event couldn’t have gone ahead without the support of the town council and those who ran the stalls, rides and activities. I’d also like to give a special mention to PCSOs Ledger and Ward who organised such a fantastic day.
“Events such as this are a great way for families to meet their local policing team and for us to build positive relationships with members of the community of all ages. It’s the fourth time it’s been held and we’re already looking forward to next year!”
