Witness appeal following A1M road traffic collision

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision on the A1M today (Monday 16 September).

At just before 7am, a white Isuzu truck and a white DAF lorry were in collision southbound between junctions 7 and 8 near Stevenage.

Emergency services attended and the A1M was closed in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land.

One man was taken to hospital by the air ambulance in a serious condition.

Sergeant Tim Davies, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision, or has dash cam footage of it, to make contact as we investigate the circumstances of the incident.

“I can be contacted directly by email.”
