Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a serious road traffic collision near Hemel Hempstead this morning (Friday 5 December).
The incident occurred in Gaddesden Row, Great Gaddesden, at around 9.30am.
A cyclist was travelling from Jockey End towards Hemel Hempstead when, for reasons unknown at this time, they were involved in a collision with a white Kia Sorento.
The cyclist sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital at this time.
Sergeant Luke Jenkins, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances around the collision.
“As part of our enquiries, we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward. Did you witness the collision or see the pedal cycle or the vehicle in the area around the time?
“We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage. If you have something of note, this can be uploaded online."
You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting Op Marble.
A man was arrested at the scene and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
