Officers are re-appealing for witnesses and information following a serious assault in Rickmansworth.
At around 8.30pm on Friday 8 November, two men became involved in an altercation near to the play park on William Penn Playing Fields.
During the incident a man, aged in his 50s, was struck with a hammer leaving him with a life-changing eye injury.
He remains in hospital at this time.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his 30s, who was wearing a beige tracksuit and white trainers.
Detective Constable Vanessa Gottmann, from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit, said: “I’m appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who has information about this incident and who the suspect is, to come forward.
“If you can assist us with any information, please email me or email my colleague DC Emily Blow quoting crime reference 41/94504/24.”
