Police are appealing for witnesses and information as part of continuing enquiries into several fires in Borehamwood.
Since Wednesday 1 January, police have been made aware of the following incidents:
Work is ongoing to establish whether the incidents are linked.
Neighbourhood Inspector Rachael Robertson said: “Thankfully no one was injured during any of the incidents, but this could have easily been a very different story.
“We’re working with our partners at Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service and Hertsmere Borough Council to investigate and identify any suspects.
“Patrols have also been increased in the area to act as a deterrent and provide reassurance to residents.
“We’d urge members of the public to please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police straight away.”
