Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a business robbery in Ware yesterday afternoon (12 January).
The incident occurred in Tower Road at around 2.15pm.
It was reported that an Amazon delivery driver was approached by two males in balaclavas who verbally threatened him to hand over the keys to his blue Ford Transit van.
Fearing he would be hurt, the victim did so, and the van, with the registration number beginning LD71, was driven off in the direction of Beazley Close.
It was located on Cozens Road a short time later, with several parcels missing from inside.
The two men are described as white and are believed to be aged in their early 20s. One was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a grey jacket and the other was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black jacket with a fur hood.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Luke Collyer said: “Thankfully no one was hurt during the incident, but the victim was understandably left in fear for his safety.
“Our enquiries are continuing, including a review of any CCTV opportunities. As part of our investigation, we’re also asking anyone with information which may assist us to please come forward.
“Did you see two males in the area around the time matching the descriptions given? Did you see the van being driven away from the area? We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam or doorbell camera footage. If you think you might be able to help, please get in touch.”
