Watford’s Scorpion officers have been busy over the last 12 months.
The small team, who focus on tackling acquisitive crime, seized drugs with a combined street value of over £192,000 and made 81 arrests.
In addition:
Watford Chief Inspector Andy Wiseman said: “Our Scorpion officers work relentlessly to pursue criminals and bring them to justice. They operate in plain clothes, patrol in unmarked vehicles and work to make Watford a difficult place for criminals to operate through focused and intelligence led activity. They also promote crime prevention measures and provide advice to our communities.
“I look forward to seeing our Scorpion officers build on what they have achieved in 2024 and hope over the next 12 months we continue to show criminals that they are not welcome in our town and will do everything we can to keep our residents safe.”
