A man and woman arrested on suspicious of two burglaries and theft in St Albans at the same address in the same week were charged and remanded on Friday (5 June).
Marian Ionescu, age 47, and Catalin Ionescu, age 39, of Stoneleigh Avenue, Enfield, pleaded guilty the following day (Saturday 6 June) at Hatfield Remand Court.
They were charged with two burglaries in Barncroft Way at 5.20am on Tuesday 26 and 4.35am on Saturday 30 May.
Building materials including a water tank, Dyson heaters, and two Dyson vacuum cleaners were stolen during the burglaries at the renovated property.
A vehicle, believed to be seen in the area, was stopped at junction 21A, near Bricket Wood, of the M25 and the couple were arrested at 3.50am.
They have been given conditional bail and are due to be sentenced on Monday 27 July.
If you’re renovating, consider installing CCTV and avoid leaving valuable items at unattended properties.
