Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an assault in Stevenage.
Between 8.30pm and 9pm on Monday (23 February), a man aged in his 40s was walking along Park Place when he was assaulted by a group of people.
The victim then entered a takeaway shop on the same road to seek safety but was followed inside and assaulted again.
Five teenage boys – four aged 15 and one aged 16 - have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Aneta Bekteshi, who is investigating, said: “We are continuing to appeal for witnesses and are asking anyone who saw what happened to please get in touch.
“If you have any information, no matter how small or insignificant you think the details you have may be, please email me.”
