Two men have been charged following a robbery with an imitation firearm in St Albans.
At around 4.25pm on Thursday 2 April, a man in his 20s was by his vehicle when he was approached by four male suspects in Hatfield Road. The suspects are reported to have threatened him with weapons and assaulted him to the head. His mobile phone and cash were stolen before the suspects left the scene in a black Mercedes.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday 5 May.

He has been released on court bail and is also due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday 5 May.
A 29-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Lewis Allingham, from St Albans CID, said: “Incidents of this nature are taken extremely seriously, and I would like to reassure the public that this appears to be an isolated incident. We have been working hard to identify the suspects and secure charges. If anyone has any information and is yet to speak to police, please don’t hesitate to contact us.”
