The Disability Confident scheme encourages employers to think differently about disability and improve how they attract, recruit, retain and develop people who have disabilities and long-term health conditions.
We are proud to be Disability Confident Leaders, the highest level of accreditation that can be achieved.
A Disability Confident board, attended by representatives across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Constabularies, is held periodically throughout the year. The group is dedicated to sharing information, best practice and opportunities, as well as addressing common issues relating to disability across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
Details of disability support available across the three forces, including workplace adjustments, is available for staff and advice and information can also be accessed via local support and wellbeing intranet sites.
Employees are encouraged to speak with their line manager to address disability-related issues where possible.
