Members of the public who want to find out more about policing are invited to go out on patrol with officers as part of the constabulary’s ride-along scheme.
The scheme is open to anyone who has an interest in the policing of their town, neighbourhood or community.
Members of the Black communities in Hertfordshire are especially welcome to join officers and see first-hand how they respond to a wide variety of incidents or make use of police powers, such as stop and search.
The scheme offers a real-world glimpse into policing, as well as the chance to speak to officers about their approach to the job and interactions with the public.
The scheme is also open to anyone considering a career in policing.
The is an application and vetting process for those interested in taking part – please email for further details.
