The Child Criminal Exploitation Prevention and Diversion Team are an engagement and prevention team for young people up to the age of 18 years old.
The team carry out one to one engagement work with young people from Hertfordshire, providing an early intervention and preventative approach for those at risk of gang affiliation, criminal exploitation (county lines) and knife crime. Working closely with other polcing teams and partner agencies to co-ordinate a personalised response for each young person referred.
They also develop and deliver events and activities to engage young people and educate them about the risks of knife crime, gang affiliation and criminal exploitation, using the ‘Lives not Knives’ branding. Providing educational presentatons in schools and other educational establishments to help safeguard young people in Hertfordshire.
