Hertfordshire Constabulary will conduct regular weeks of action to combat knife crime as part of Operation Sceptre, a national knife crime initiative.
Knife related crime remains lower in Hertfordshire than in other parts of the country, but the campaign aims to reinforce the message that carrying a knife is illegal and will not help to keep you safe.
The next knife amnesty will be taking place between Monday 13 and Sunday 19 November, during which knives can be surrendered at Hatfield, Stevenage and Watford police stations. There are also permanent knife bins in Waltham Cross details can be found at Word4Weapons (opens in new window).
Temporary knife bins will be deployed around the county during the week, at these locations
