Help and support is available to anyone experiencing violence, sexual offences or abuse in Hertfordshire.
General services are listed at the top of the page, with more specific national or local services listed in the dropdown menus below.
Go to Report or call 101 to report crimes to police. If you are in immediate danger or need an immediate police response, always call 999.
If you have a hearing or speech impairment, you can call 101 using SignVideo and you will be connected to a fully qualified interpreter.
In an emergency, you can call 999 using 999 British Sign Language (BSL) apps. This is a service that connects you to British Sign Language Interpreters remotely through an app or a web-based platform, who then will relay the conversation with the call handler and emergency authorities. This service has been set up so that no deaf person will be excluded when they need to make an emergency call, therefore saving lives.
If you’ve pre-registered with the emergencySMS service, you can use our textphone service 18000 or text us on 999.
