Who is on the scrutiny panel?

Members of the panel are not just police officers. Staff from a range of partner agencies make up the panel. There is an independent chair (currently Paul Millan, a defence solicitor) and representatives from the following:

  • Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire
  • Magistrates Courts
  • Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)
  • Youth Justice Teams
  • Restorative Justice services (Beacon)
  • And subject matter experts from various departments within Hertfordshire Constabulary
