During the last period in the Ware area, you asked us to focus on:
• East Herts Rural: Officers will continue to crack down on anti-social behaviour in Buntingford town centre and tackle fly-tipping across the area.
• Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth: Residents have said they want a focus on improving feelings of safety in Pishiobury Park, as well as Grange Paddocks and Sawbridgeworth Fields.
• Ware and Stanstead Abbotts: The community has asked local officers to focus on reducing anti-social behaviour in The Priory and surrounding industrial areas, as well as tackling the anti-social use of e-bikes along the towpath between Ware and Stanstead Abbotts.
• Hertford: Officers will focus on tackling anti-social behaviour in Birchley Green and the anti-social use of e-bikes in Hartham.
Issued 01 August 2026
In the last period of priorities, officers:
• Have conducted proactive patrols in Ware, Stanstead Abbotts and along the towpath, in both plain clothes and in uniform. They have conducted a number of stop searches.
• Have been trained to use SelectaDNA spray which is going to form part of our effort to tackle antisocial behaviour associated with e-bikes and e-scooters.
Recently, there has been a reduction in reports of e-bikes being ridden antisocially, which is positive. However, further operations are planned to take place in the near future, to ensure that this trait continues to reduce.
