Your Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your area is policed by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team. They are based nearby at a police station within the borough or district and they work to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour in this area. They also conduct regular patrols and hold surgeries to share crime prevention advice and respond to issues or concerns. They work to solve underlying problems that cause crime and anti-social behaviour.

Tackle vehicle related anti-social behaviour at Starbucks and the A414 North Orbital Road.
Action taken:
o Work continues to address the long-term priority of anti-social driving by Starbucks and the A414 working with partner agencies including the Police and Crime Commissioner, who has funded acoustic monitoring cameras.
o The number of calls has reduced following regular patrols.
o Warning letters will be sent out followed by enforcement action using Section 59 powers to seize vehicles being driven anti-socially, above the noise threshold. -
Priority:
Tackle anti-social behaviour and drug use in The Camp, including Aldwick Court, Cunningham playing fields, Cell Barnes Lane and Highfield Park.
Action taken:
o Conducted regular targeted and high-visibility foot patrols across the Camp, including stop checks with young people linked to anti-social behaviour, nuisance riding, vehicle crime and drug use in Thirlmere Drive, Buttermere Close, Keswick Close, Richard Stagg Close, Camp Playing Fields, Dellfields, New House Park, Hill End Lane and Highfield Park.
o Arrested a wanted offender (for failing to appear in court on 6 Sept) during proactive patrols; arrested and charged teenagers for stealing and riding a stolen motorcycle from Napsbury found in the Alban Way; arrested a robbery suspect.
o Three people identified and spoken to after a stolen motorcycle from Dellfields was recovered in Lycaste Close.
o Identified and disrupted suspected drug-related activity in and around Richard Stagg Close, Thirlmere Drive, Buttermere Close and Keswick Close.
o Worked alongside local residents and councillors to support the installation of CCTV overlooking camp playing fields and the gazebo area to deter drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.
o Responded to reports of nuisance and dangerous riding involving e-bikes, e-scooters and Sur-Ron style motorcycles. Words of advice and warning of potential vehicle seizure. -
Priority:
Tackle rowdy, inconsiderate or anti-social behaviour outside Oaklands College.
This was a previous neighbourhood priority and has been reinstated following an increase in reports of ASB in the area.
Action taken:
o We will continue high-visibility and covert police patrols at the college and surrounding roads and deal with any incidents appropriately whether that is words of advice, community resolutions or arrest.
o We continue to work closely with the college and local residents.
