Your safer neighbourhood team
Your area is policed by the local Safer Neighbourhood Team. They are based nearby at a police station within the borough or district and they work to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour in this area. They also conduct regular patrols and hold surgeries to share crime prevention advice and respond to issues or concerns. They work to solve underlying problems that cause crime and anti-social behaviour.
Other units also work in this area, responding to emergency calls and investigating crimes such as burglary. You can make an appointment to see someone from the Safer Neighbourhood Team by calling 101 or via the contact us tab. If it is an emergency, you should always call 999.

Anti-social behaviour, including e-scooters, in Mosquito Way, Cavendish Way, Lemsford Road and the Hilltop
Action taken:
To date, 15 people have been spoken to about the use of e-scooters and given a leaflet explaining the law around them.
We have also disrupted groups of teenagers committing anti-social behaviour and in the town centre and the Galleria. -

Drugs and associated anti-social behaviour in Wellfield Road, Roe Green Lane, Crawford Road and Birchwood Avenue

A number of intel has been inputted in relation to possible drug dealing across the West.

High visibility foot patrols
Action taken:
Increased foot patrols have taken place across the West -specifically the town centre, Birchwood Avenue, the Hilltop and all the surrounding roads.
We've also spoken to and removed beggars, street drinkers and cyclists outside Asda and in the town centre, as per the PSPO (Public Space Prevention Order) that is in place there.
Four warning tickets have been given out for inconsiderate parking on Woods Avenue.
