6. Sextortion…don’t fall for it.
Sextortion is a type of blackmail where somebody threatens to publish intimate photos or videos of you in return for your money.
Be wary of video chatting with strangers as they may record what you reveal and use it against you. You should report any extortion attempts to the police by calling the non-emergency number 101. Please never feel ashamed or embarrassed. You are the victim and we will treat you sensitively.
