During the last period in the Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth area, the priorities were to reduce youth-related anti-social behaviour in Cricketfield Lane and Hadham Road, Bishop’s Stortford, and reduce reports of road-related offences in Harlow Road in Sawbridgeworth:
Issued 01 May 2026
• Neighbourhood officers met with staff to discuss the issues and encourage reporting, at the community club, and targeted patrols at the end of the school day has resulted in a reduction of reports to police.
• Regular patrols by PCSOs in the Harding area has resulted in no further reports of anti-social behaviour or off-road bike use.
• Regular traffic operations have been carried out on Harlow Road and surrounding areas tackling speeding, mobile phone use while driving and cross-border criminality.
• The number of speeding vehicles has decreased. We continue to work with Essex Police to ensure the road is not used as a route for serious and organised crime.
