Action taken:
• Officers have conducted operations, both plain-clothed and uniformed.
• They have also spoken to numerous stores, giving advice around crime prevention, reporting methods and good evidence capture.
• A meeting has taken place with the management of two stores with the highest levels of crime, to discuss ways in which we can work collaboratively to tackle shoplifting in the long term.
• Several offenders have been arrested, charged and brought before the courts.
