Anti Social Behaviour (ASB)
Following a priority setting forum in December 2024, police will continue to conduct high visibility patrols in the town centre focusing on - local policing operations, crime reduction initiatives, illegal use of e-scooters and other activity to tackle nuisance ASB and purse-dipping offences.

Herts Connected and Business Watch messages have been sent out to shoppers, shop keepers and shop staff to educate them around distraction theft.

Stevenage Police are currently working with local partners to improve the Bedwell area, driving out organised crime linked to drug dealing and working with the community to improve the area and 'Build a Better Bedwell'.
Action taken:
Throughout the past months, officers and PCSOs in the Stevenage Central Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out increased patrols in the area to deter and detect criminal activity and ASB, holding local surgeries to chat to local residents and business and document any ongoing concerns and taking part in community events.
